Change In Plans!

Just got a call and they need to move the surgery up to Thursday, August 6th! I know it's only one day but it changes a lot of plans we had in place. I guess it's for the best. I keep you posted!

  1. Your blog was forwarded to me by a friend. We are in the process of adopting a little boy with DS from Russia. Just thought I would say hello and that your children are just precious!

  5. WOW! I know that can freak you out but the sooner it gets done, then you can all be home! I'll be praying for all of you as you do this....esp. B and the drs and for you....for peace as B goes thru this!

What a weekend you all had! How fun!!! Yay for Ainsley!! I'll bet she's a fish now!

And good going Mommy....on those laps! Good for Daddy too.

What a precious time you and Ainsley seemed to be having.....I'm sure it was the first of many pedicure/manicure trips. Soon, Harper will be joining in on the fun. Still can't get over how much Bennett looks like Harper.

Will look forward to posts about the surgery and after. Will be praying!

  7. Hey Adrienne,
Wow, that's coming up fast. Know that we're thinking and praying for you, Bennett and the rest of your darling family, down in Fredericksburg! If there's anything we can do for you (from this far away) let me know! Wishing you all the best,

  9. That's exactly 2 weeks after Magdalena's surgery! Let me forewarn you - she has always slept through the night until now! She is SO hungry! So enjoy these next couple nights of sleep :) We'll be praying for you guys! Magdalena was in the hospital for 6 days and I think she progressed really well. God's grace was super abundant and it didn't seem too bad at all. It helped to have a little goal for each day such as getting the chest tubes out, working on eating, staying off oxygen, etc. You guys will do great!

    Hi Adrienne,
I found a link to your blog over on the Girls Name Board and have been following it since little Bennett was born. I just wanted to let you know that I am thinking of you and praying everything goes well on Thursday. We are right over the bridge from Philadelphia and know quite a few people who have had children at CHOP - all with fantastic outcomes! If you need anything at all, please let me know.

  12. Hi Adrienne-
It's Kristin from BC down syndrome board, Mom to Liam. I am unable to open baby center website at CHOP-they don't allow the access to the site for some reason.
anyway, I can see that you sent a message from my email updates, but can't open it. If you need to get in touch or have any questions for us being down here already, please let me know. My email that i can get to is kburns54@gmail.com
Liam is in surgery now--just got an update that Dr. Spray went in around 10am. I have more nervous energy than I thought possible but in a couple hours, all should be overwith. I will continue to pray for Bennett...Liam will make sure he tells all the nurses in the CICU to be extra nice to his little friend on Thursday. Hang in there...and please let me know if you need anything.
